Today we attended a very well done workshop on chickens, turkeys and ducks, by Glenn Drowns. Then, with the temperature around 90 degrees and high humidity, I led a workshop that took my topics covered yesterday a bit further and deeper....we discussed different tomatoes I got to name, discover or create; some things I've learned selling seedlings and container gardening, and much more information regarding progress on the dwarf project. What struck me is how rare dwarf varieties are (or, at least, were, prior to our project)....and how gardeners have actually grown them! There were lots of great questions from the audience, and it was a really fun (and really sweaty!) session.
So....back to the garden, the tomatoes, the watering, tasting and seed saving. And Tomatopalooza is this coming Saturday! Fingers crossed that I will have plenty of varieties to bring with me.
