So today I am going to switch to working on some of my experimental pepper, eggplant and tomato varieties, do some transplanting of those, as well as start separating dwarfs for distribution during next week. And due to a nice rain overnight, the garden rows I turned over may be a little easier to work with, so I hope to get lettuce and greens and beets finally planted out by the weekend.
I am now ready for my talk at the Cape Fear Botanical Garden this coming Saturday - I am speaking at noon, and will focus on the culinary aspects of tomatoes - this is a new talk to me, focusing on the various colors, flavor characteristics, and usability of heirloom and other tomatoes of all colors, shapes and sizes - even discussing some of the recipes we love! Check out the link - we will be selling our seedlings there as well.
So today is Wednesday - I am available for seedling pick up here from now until 11, then between 3 and 5 today - tomorrow, from 9 throughout the day; Friday, after noon - and not at all over the weekend. I will post next week's times on Sunday.
Have a great day, everyone - it is going to be a bit cooler, so is a good day to work up a sweat with a shovel or hoe!
