Second row - chard and collards/kale, leeks, tomato and pepper and eggplant seedlings ready to go
Third row - driveway bales, waiting for dwarf tomatoes - Sunday's job
Today I planted beet, leek, Red Russian kale, collard, arugula, lettuce and basil seedlings into bales....and planted bean, radish, carrot, cuke, radish and squash seeds onto the bales topped with a layer of potting mix. That leaves four bales - 2 or 3 for potatoes, and 1 or 2 for sweet potato slips.
If all goes well, this will be such fun - and so easy - to maintain, and a pleasure to harvest and eat. Follow along with me as this adventure proceeds!
Once the bales are all planted, additional tomatoes and all peppers and eggplant will be set into various sized containers - some on our deck, most on our driveway. Early next week is the target to get that done.
