The brevity of my blog entries reflects the lazy, hazy days of summer in the garden - the daily watering, picking, seed saving....a bit of processing. Today we are going to try our hand at a tomato jam that was a big hit at Tomatopalooza last year. And we are also going to make our first batch of pesto.
Death Cab for Cutie at the Koka Booth in Cary last night was pretty warm (as all of our outdoor concert adventures have been this year), but quite excellent.
I am gearing up for a few major gardening undertakings (waiting for a bit of relief from the heat before I delve into them...) - pulling the weeds and grass from our backyard perennial borders, clearing out the back two rows of the garden to make room for Brussels Sprouts, and a major purge of dead and dying Dwarf tomato plants from the driveway center.
