This is allowing room in the driveway for me to start the planting of the dwarf and indeterminate tomatoes, peppers, and eggplant in pots for our summer Driveway garden. Hopefully, that will begin in the next few days - bags and bags of planting mix and cow manure are piled up and ready to go.
All of this means that the first ripe tomatoes are only a few months away. If only the lettuce could hold on until then....but, sadly, we are starting to see bolting of our leaf varieties. The good news in the spring garden is that beets are nearly ready to pick, with radishes not far behind. And the Asian greens are just gorgeous....all in all, it has been a really good growing season (though a bit more rain wouldn't be a bad thing!)
